One week to go! I have moved into the 21st century big time - not only have I got an Ipod so I can listen to music while I am running but I also have bought a Kindle. I have downloaded some good reads to fill my time in Finland - Alexander McCall Smith "The Big Tent", "Call the Midwife", A Tale of Two Cities and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland plus a few more so I shouldn't run out of reading matter.

I still can't quite believe that this time next week I will be in Finland. I am looking forward to receiving any comments - if you are already registered you can use your existing details. If you are not, you can post a comment as anonymous but it would be really helpful if you write who you are in your comment box!!

I think the next time I write will be from Finland - see you soon,

Penny

  3. Hi Mum!
Amazing to think that in less time than it took me to travel from home to London last week, you've travelled from England to Finland!
From what you have told me, it sounds like you're set to have a really great time which will definitely be a life changing experience. I look forward to hearing about your further adventures whilst away, and hope you are getting unpacked and settled in.

  4. The travel thing is quite mind boggling isn't it?! The world really is at our finger tips and I feel quite ashamed that I have seen so little. I do think that as we are on an island we remain very insular in general and going abroad is a big deal. Talking to the other participants they can get on a train / drive and be in another country so easily.
